Alberto Fermani Boots for Less

I've recently been getting so many compliments on these boots everytime I wear them out. Someone had asked me the other day if they were Alberto Fermani boots which retail for $625. Of course I would not shell out that kinda money for a pair of boots but it's great to have ones that look like they are more luxurious than they are. I got these Aldo knee high boots at an outlet in the summer for a steal. They were originally $170 but the store had an everything must go clearance sale so I got them for 75% off. Both are real leather and the Aldo boots are really comfortable.

The top pair is Aldo Rechtzigel and bottom is Alberto Fermani Over the Knee Boots. They look pretty much the same except the Alberto Fermani one has a full elastic seam on the back so it's entirely a pull-up style whereas the Aldo ones have a half side zip. Try looking at your Aldo Outlet store if you like this style or you can get the real deal.

What's In My Cosmetic Bag!!

These are the items in my cosmetics bag that is in my purse I carry everyday. I have more lip products than anything else because I never think about what lip color I'm going to wear when I walk out the door every morning. Most of the time I only use lip balm but I do like the option of throwing on my current favorite red lip or a nude.

From left to right:
Dior 'Rouge Dior' in Red Muse (favorite bright red at the moment)
Chanel Rouge Coco in Chintz (my go to special occasion light pinky peach, this is what I use when I go to any day-time weddings)
FusionBeauty 'Lip Fusion' lip balm in Butterscotch (color is quite pigmented for a lip balm and conceals any redness in my lips but I do not like the scent and taste of this. I prefer non scented/taste.
MAC Viva Glam in Cyndi (very wearable sheer red)
Revlon Super Lustrous in Primrose (best drugstore lipstick. Applies like a dream and there is no old school lipstick smell/taste you usually find in drugstore lipsticks)
Mini Smashbox lipgloss in Pout (I hardly use lipgloss but I have it just incase I need some extra shine)
Sigma lipbrush L05 (must have for any dark lipsticks since I do not like lined lips but I do want a perfect shape)
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose (see below)

Laura Mercier Petite Eye Palette- Warm (I hardly touch-up but this is a tiny neutral palette that I have just in case I need some extra color on my eyes)
Rohto Eye Drops- Cool (for redness and I use this after I apply heavy eye makeup to brighten the whites of my eyes)
Sigma travel Blending Brush- E25 (this applies color all over the lid and blends out any harsh lines. It also the perfect size for my cosmetic pouch)
Cargo Blu-Ray Pressed Powder- 20 (to touch-up any oilyness and give a bit extra coverage on my t-zone)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner- Zero (good basic black eyeliner just in case you go out after work and need a more night time look. Eyeliner will instantly make your eyes more dramatic)
Shiseido Perfect Mascara defining Volume- BK 901 Black (I often run out of the house and forget to apply my mascara so I always carry one. This doesn't say waterproof but it is hard to take off)
Chloe Eau de Parfum (this has to be the cutest mini perfume bottle. It is the only scent that doesnt make me nauseous with long wear)
Sigma Hollywood Glamour Flat Top Retractable Kabuki brush (I use this with my Cargo pressed powder and it's the same quality as the F80 Flat Top full size brush)
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose (I've been using this lip balm everyday. It is hydrating and gives a tint of color to my pale dry winter lips)

Coach cosmetic case (I got this years ago at the coach outlet for maybe 25-30 bucks? Kinda over anything with a logo but it is very durable and it's the perfect size. The inside is lined with nylon and outside is a coated canvas so it doesn't really get dirty and it's easy to clean. It has one large side pocket and two small side pockets on the other side)

Deal Alert- Last Minute Gift

I received an email from Juicy Couture that they were having a 30% entire site sale. I was still looking for gifts for Christmas and I came upon these nail polish sets from Deborah Lippmann. It is a special collabration for the holiday. These sets retails for $48 and they are now on sale for $16.78, that's 65% off! It would make a great little gift for someone or even yourself. You can even separate each polish and use them as stocking stuffers. Shipping is also free today.

The Precious Metals set: Believe, Here Comes the Queen, and Jewel in the Crown.
Believe is the only color from their line that is not exclusive to this set. It is a celebrity color with Cher. I actually already have this color but Jewel in the Crown which is exclusive might just push me to get this anyway. I can always give away Believe.

The Shimmer and Shine Set: Bring on the Bling, Whatever Lola wants, Since I fell for you.
These shades are all part of their original line.

Deal Alert 12/14!!

I love finding great deals on the internet. Well the bad is, I end up shopping entirely way too much but I can't help it. There is a deal on Rue La La for Lord & Taylor. For $25 you get $50 to spend on anything. I normally don't shop there but they have plenty of high end make-up brands and a vast selection of shoes. I purchase two of these last time and got shoes. This time I'll probably get a face cream for winter. They also make great gifts. Also, they are having their Friends and Family sale on Thursday in stores. I believe you can combine this certificate with the sale in stores. I was able to combine coupon with this last time since it acts like a gift card. Pick it up!!

$25 for $50 at
Lord & Taylor

November Favorites

I was pretty busy in November so I kept my daily makeup routine rather simple. I've been using the same blush with almost all my looks. It's the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Exposed. I do not have any other color like this in my collection. In the pan it looks like a brownish mauve color but on the cheeks it's the most natural flush that leans more pink. It just livens up my face and has easily become a top favorite of mine. It's so easy to not have to think about what blush I should use since this goes with pretty much everything. The other items mention in my favorites are:

DIOR Bronze Matte Sunshine- Honey Matte
Estee Lauder double wear concealer- Light
Nars blush- Gina
Laura Mercier caviar stick eye colour- Cocoa
MAC eyeshadows- All that glitters and Sable
Nars eyeshadow duo- Brousse
MAC lipstick- Viva glam Cyndi
Essie Nail Polishes- Limited Addiction and Very Structured
Macadamia Healing Oil Spray

Fall FOTD & OOTD

I was getting ready this morning and saw my Chanel Illusion D'Ombre cream eyeshadow sitting on my vanity which I initially was planning to return but never got around to it. The first time I had used it, it creased on my eyelids and the color was sheer and a bit uneven. I thought it wasn't worth the $36 I had spent. I gave this another try today and surprisingly it turns out this eyeshadow just gives the nicest shimmer. Chanel describes it as luminous and I think that's the perfect word for it. I used a primer and applied Chanel Ebloui on my eyelid with my fingers and blended the edges out with Mac's 217 crease brush. Then I applied a bit of Mac's Mythical Eyeshadow just on the crease. These two colors make a perfect combination.

Face: Bourjois healthy mix foundation #52 and Giorgio Armani Luminous silk #5.5 mixed, Dior Matte sunshine bronzer #2, Tarte exposed blush
Eyes: Estee Lauder double wear concealer in light, Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Ebloui, Mac Mythical, Mac soft brown
Lips: FusionBeauty LipFusion balm in Butterscotch

Now onto my outfit. Tie neck front blouse tops has been a trendy piece. The one I'm wearing is sleeveless and too cold to wear alone for fall/winter season so I paired it with a sweater. Layering is great for the colder weather and you are able to incorporate your summer pieces as well. I buttoned it to the top and tied a bow which just peaks out and adds a different texture and pattern to the simple sweater.

(Blouse and necklace F21, H&M sweater, Zara pants, Max studio boots, Michael Kors watch, House of Harlow bracelet, and ring from Saks Fifth Ave)

My love of Lace

I think everyone needs to own a lace piece whether it be a top, shorts, or a dress. Something about the different lace details and having your skin peek through makes it so glamorous and sexy. You don't have to spend a lot to get some good pieces that you can add to your wardrobe.

These two pics are from last year on how I paired the white and black lace top which is from the video. I wore them on a night out.
